Echos.

I found a place where they could hear me when I sing...
[Josh Ritter - Wings]

...but that place is definitely not Vicar Street.
I've never been at a concert with such an horrible audience.
No one singing.
No one.
People chatting, bubbling, thinking to be the funniest in the world.

Zero feedback at all to the band, no waving of hands or lighters, no chorus.
An acoustic far from being perfect.

Despite these details the Frames were great as expected, even with a non-conventional tracklist filled with many unknown songs and covers. Many of those were really a surprise.

Some sounds are still in my earwax.
Some lyrics in my head.
Some echos still going back and forth.
Like these.

*
You're giving me wings.
So I don't have to jump.
And you're giving me will.
So I can carry on.
*
You were the one who always said
'Forget it and move on'.
*
One day we will know
In a bowing of heads and a passing of hands.
*
Will you be my anchor
When there is no-one around to hold me down.
